Mduduzi Ncube and Big Zulu have exchanged public statements following allegations involving money and the singer's departure from Inkabi Records.

A public dispute has erupted between South African musicians Mduduzi Ncube and Big Zulu after the singer alleged that money and loyalty issues played a major role in his departure from Inkabi Records.

The disagreement became public after Mduduzi Ncube shared a lengthy Facebook post in which he claimed financial disputes had caused deep frustration during his time at the record label. Big Zulu later responded publicly, denying that Inkabi Records owes the artist any money and challenging him to discuss the matter openly.

What Mduduzi Ncube Said About Money and Loyalty at Inkabi Records

In his Facebook post, Mduduzi Ncube acknowledged the role Inkabi Records played in building his career and thanked Big Zulu for believing in his talent.

The singer said he remains grateful for the exposure, support, and opportunities he received while working under the label. However, he also claimed that financial disagreements became a major source of conflict.

One of the most striking parts of his statement involved his hit song Dear Ex Yami. Mduduzi wrote that he does not know what happened to the money generated by the song.

He further stated that it is painful to work for money that you never see or money that is allegedly taken away from you.

“Nemali ye Dear Ex Yami angiyazi,” he wrote.

Mduduzi also suggested that he has been labelled dishonest in the past, writing that he accepts being called a liar but feels compelled to explain his side of the story.

According to the artist, the main disagreements that led to his departure centred on money and loyalty.

While he did not provide documents or financial records to support his claims, he indicated that he intends to explain what happened in greater detail during an upcoming podcast interview.

Why Mduduzi Ncube Chose a Podcast to Tell His Side

Mduduzi said he decided to speak through a podcast because he does not have the influence or platform needed to secure a radio interview.

He told supporters that he felt it was important to share his experience directly with the public rather than remain silent about the circumstances surrounding his departure from Inkabi Records.

The singer said he plans to explain exactly what transpired before he left the label and promised to release the interview soon.

His announcement immediately sparked discussion among fans, many of whom began debating whether the dispute was purely about business matters or whether personal relationships had also broken down behind the scenes.

At this stage, however, the only confirmed information comes from the public statements released by the two artists themselves.

Big Zulu Responds to Claims Inkabi Records Owes Money

Big Zulu later issued a public response in which he rejected allegations that Inkabi Records owes Mduduzi money.

In his statement, the rapper suggested that Mduduzi should simply acknowledge that his plans may not have worked out as expected, rather than accuse the label of withholding money.

“Eyokuthi iNkabi Records ikukweleta imali cha,” Big Zulu wrote, directly denying the allegation.

He also expressed a desire to participate in the podcast interview that Mduduzi referenced.

Big Zulu said he would welcome an invitation to appear and discuss the matter alongside the singer. He added that if other individuals were claiming that Inkabi Records had taken their money, they should also be invited to join the discussion.

His response was widely shared on social media and quickly intensified interest in the dispute.

Many supporters praised Big Zulu for publicly addressing the allegations rather than ignoring them, while others argued that Mduduzi deserves an opportunity to fully explain his concerns.

What Happens Next in the Mduduzi Ncube and Big Zulu Dispute

The focus now shifts to the podcast interview that Mduduzi Ncube says will provide further details about his departure from Inkabi Records.

The interview is expected to address the financial concerns he has raised publicly, including his comments about money linked to Dear Ex Yami and his broader concerns regarding loyalty within the music business.

For his part, Big Zulu has made it clear that he disputes the allegations and is willing to discuss the matter publicly.

At present, neither artist has released documentary evidence supporting their position, and no independent findings have been presented regarding the claims.

What is clear is that the dispute has become one of the most talked-about developments in South African entertainment circles, with fans closely watching for the next chapter in the fallout between two artists whose careers were once closely linked through Inkabi Records.

As more information becomes available, attention will remain on whether the promised podcast interview sheds further light on the allegations and whether both parties will eventually address the matter together in public.
