Safety Concerns After House Fires Linked to Domestic Disputes
House fires connected to domestic disputes are rare but can place entire communities at risk.
Fire safety experts warn that even a small fire inside a home can spread rapidly through roofing, furniture, and household materials. In rural and semi-rural communities such as Ndwedwe, nearby homes can also be affected if a blaze grows out of control.
Community safety groups encourage residents to seek support when domestic conflicts escalate. Counselling services, community mediation, and family intervention can help resolve disputes before they turn into dangerous situations.
Residents are also urged to report suspicious activity immediately and avoid confronting suspects themselves, as tensions can escalate quickly.

Police in Ndwedwe are continuing their investigation into the fire as they gather information from witnesses and examine the damage at the property.
Authorities have urged residents to remain calm while investigators determine exactly how the fire started.
